Synopsis:

Mr. Goemon is Goemon's first ever game! It was released in arcades, unlike almost every other Goemon game which is on a home console.

A demon has appeared out of nowhere and is a major threat to Edo. As the demon seems to keep getting stronger and stronger, Goemon learns that the demon's energy is gained from a koi decoration on top of Edo castle.

This brings Goemon his mission: To destroy the koi decoration then destroy the evil demon. However, problems arise as Goemon is a well known thief - He'll have a lot of people after him while on this journey!
