Good-Feel finally unveil their Goemon "Spiritual Succesor".

Way back in 2020, Famitsu interviewed Etsunobu Ebisu (president of game company "Good-Feel" & Producer / Director on many Goemon titles) who revealed that Good-Feel's Osaka office was developing a new title.

Nintendo Life wrote an article at the time pointing out how the concept art for Good-Feel's new game had an uncanny resemblance to Ganbare Goemon. This caused many to speculate that Good-Feel's next title would be a spiritual successor to the franchise KONAMI has put on ice for so long.

3 years later, this title was finally unveiled in the Japanese Nintendo Direct as:
"Otogi Katsugeki Mameda no Bakeru: Oracle Saitarou no Sainan!! "

"御伽活劇豆狸のバケル～オラクル祭太郎の祭難！!"
which roughly translates to
"Fairytail Adventure Mame Danuki's Bakeru: Disaster of the Oracle Festival Man"

The premise: There's a "Festival Army" that are up to no good! Bakeru, a Tanooki, transforms into a human to confront the evil-doers with his drumming action!

Bakeru can also transform into folklore heroes such as Momotaro & Kintaro which change his attack style.

Bakeru's adventure throughout Japan is about to begin, and of course, there's battles between giant robots ready to unfold!

The game has been slated for a Japanese release in Winter 2023, though so far there has been no mention of the title being localized.
